GENERAL

Q  . If I need help with the NCTTA spreadsheets, who should I contact?

Call Randy Kendle (cell: 314-800-5377) or e-mail at treasurer@nctta.org

Q  . If I find an error or have a suggestion to make, who do I pass that along to?

Call Randy Kendle (cell: 314-800-5377) or e-mail at treasurer@nctta.org

Q  . Are there step-by-step instructions for using this spreadsheet?

Yes.  Those instructions can be found on the last Sheet of the workbook itself entitled "Instructions".

Q  . When I am done with the competition, where do I send the scores?

All the NCTTA spreadsheets go to results@nctta.org.

Q  . Do I have to have a printer at the competition site to use this spreadsheet?

No.  You can still use paper and pencil to run your tournament.  When you are done with the competition, you simply enter the data into the computer from paper and then submit the results.  The advantage to using the computer while running the competition is that it will look up and verify spelling of player names, display player ID's, gender, and e-mail addresses as well as identify illegal lineups, invalid scores, and team strength ratings.

Q  . Does this spreadsheet break ties that have the same win/loss record?

No.  The Tournament Director will need to break the ties according to USATT guidelines.

Q  . What do I do if I mistakenly entered a negative number for a player's ID, but now I see the player is in the RATINGLIST Sheet by another spelling?

Simply copy a blank ID cell and paste it into the cell where the negative number is shown.  Deleting the negative number will not make the computer display the correct ID because the formula is no longer present.  You must copy and paste a blank ID cell.
